ABOUT FINE SILVER |
Fine silver is silver in its purest available form. Unlike sterling, which is only 92.5% silver, fine silver is 99.9% pure silver! |
Because of its purity, pieces made of fine silver are more tarnish-resistant than those made of sterling (much of sterling’s tarnishing is due to copper and other alloys added to increase the metal’s hardness). |
Fine silver is softer, lighter, and less dense than sterling, and is therefore more delicate. Please handle with care. |
